Congregation Beth Shalom is a Conservative congregation with a rich heritage in Kansas City beginning in 1878. Currently, the congregation of approximately 1000 families holds services and programs encompassing the wide spectrum of Jewish religious, cultural, educational and social experiences. Specialty programs occur for different age groups and for special events.
Beth Shalom is currently planning a new Johnson County Campus Learning Center to be located at 143rd and Lamar Ave, Overland Park, KS.

Chabad House Center of KC, headquarters for Chabad-Lubavitch in the states of Kansas and Missouri, was founded in 1970. Our goal is to enhance Jewish pride and identity by making Judaism accessible to each and every Jew. Our doors are open to all Jews regardless of their background, affiliation, or level of observance. With special emphasis on youth, Chabad House of KC has developed countless innovative programs to excite and inspire Jewish youth in our rich Jewish heritage. Chabad also serves the community with adult education, social programs, Kosher food pantry, Mikva, preschool, Hebrew school, counseling and outreach to area college campuses and smaller communities in Kansas and Missouri.
